Abstract guidelines

Your abstract will be published at the time of the conference and therefore must be of publishable quality and must represent the content of your paper/poster well.

For those who may be less familiar with conference paper abstracts, we offer the following as a guide.

An abstract is a very brief precise summary of your presentation.  An abstract is not a description of the paper or an introduction to the paper.

Your abstract should include the following information:

* The title and topic of your presentation
* Your (research) method
* Your specific argument and/or central research outcomes so that anyone who reads the abstract will know what the results of your work are.
* The relevance of your argument or findings for music therapy.

You can submit your abstract by e-mail to info@musictherapy2007.com

The abstract contains a maximum of 400 words (abstract: 300 words; biographical details: 100 words) presented on one A4 page.

-Keywords (maximum 5 words)

-Abstracts should be presented English

The time for paper presentations is 45 minutes including 10-15 minutes of discussion.

Poster guidelines

We hope that the following guidelines will help you when preparing your presentation. Please remember that it is very important that you prepare your poster BEFORE you travel to the 7th European Music Therapy Congress and that you bring it with you.

A poster board will be allocated for each poster presentation.

Size of poster board:     200 cm high and 100 cm wide

Size of usable area:       100 cm high and 70 cm wide

Two important points to remember when preparing your poster presentation:

- Your audience should be able to see your material, and make sense of it, from a distance of 2-3 metres. This means that all lettering should be at least 8 mm high;

- Graphs and diagrams often convey a lot more than just words, as long as they are clear and simple. Graphs and figures should be drawn with a minimum line, width of 1 mm.

- 'Handouts', photocopies of either your individual poster units or the whole presentation are generally well appreciated by delegates. If you wish to distribute handouts, please prepare them beforehand and bring them with you.

- During registration you can submit your poster.

 If you have any queries concerning the procedures, please contact us at info@musictherapy2007.com
